Despite Valentine’s Day being a Hallmark holiday, it’s still a great excuse for shopping and dressing up. Whether you’re spending Valentine’s day with your significant other or celebrating it with girlfriends as “Galentine’s” day, there are endless opportunities for fashionable and stylish outfits. You can choose to either purchase a new outfit or do it yourself with pieces you already own in your closet.
I spent this Valentine’s Day in Charleston with my boyfriend and had a date night at one of the many amazing restaurants downtown, Cru Cafe. I combined the DIY concept with purchasing something new for the perfect Valentine’s outfit. My outfit consisted of a black crop top already sitting in my closet from American Apparel, paired with my new Chiffon maxi skirt.
Because of Charleston’s unpredictable weather, I brought a leather jacket with me to dinner just incase of dropping climates.
As for accessories, I added my Tory Burch Logo Clutch and a few of my favorite Alex and Ani bangles.
Now that I work at Alex and Ani, I’ve been having fun charming my arm and adding to my bangle collection which I wear on a daily basis. One of my newest Alex and Ani purchases is the Open Love Charm Bangle which went great with the overall tone of Valentine’s Day.
The weekend was finished off with a much needed brunch at Hominy Grill in downtown Charleston.
Whether you love or hate Valentine’s day, I hope that you at least expressed your love for fashion. <3
