A lot has occurred since I last posted, as I am now a college graduate and spending most of my summer in Charleston. Since my lease ends in July, I refuse to search for a big girl job until that time comes. Instead I have been utilizing my last few months traveling, spending time with my family, boyfriend, and friends…and a lot of shopping.
My newest obsession is Urban Outfitter’s ruffle shorts. I purchased my first pair when I was shopping in the Jacksonville, FL store and loved them so much that I came home and bought two more of them. The best thing about them is that they come in dozens of patterns and colors, so you can pair them with endless options for tops. Online they only advertise a few of them, but if you go in to any store you will be looking through countless pairs of ruffle shorts. I love how loose, flowy and comfortable they are, and are also great bottoms to add to your wardrobe for the summer season.
Pair One:
Here I am wearing my first pair of ruffle shorts with one of Urban Outiftter’s sweater bralettes. Like I mentioned, what’s great about these shorts is that they are so versatile. Therefore, you can also match it with a loose top or short sleeve crop top.
Pair Two:
In my second pair I am wearing my ruffle shorts with a plain white crop top and a fedora from Forever 21, with my Steve Madden booties. This is the perfect day outfit for the summertime as well.
Pair Three:
My last but not least pair of ruffle shorts can be paired with anything from casual to fancy attire. The first photo shown is a plain red crop top from Necessary Clothing in NYC paired with a chain necklace from a shop in London, and my Dolce Vita sandals. The second is Urban Outfitter’s Crochet Bralette which also comes in other colors, paired with a spiked necklace from H+M and my Steve Madden combats.
Although all three of my shorts happen to be floral, there are plenty of other patterns and colors you can choose from. I plan on going back to Urban very soon and getting a few more pairs to add to my ruffle short collection, and you all should too!
XOXO,
