Happy {ALMOST} Friday!
How is it almost Christmas? I don’t know where 2016 went, but I’m excited to see what 2017 has in store. I wanted this post to be a reflection or a little “TBT” on a recent life adventure incorporating not only fashion but culture & travel all at once. Back in June, my family and I went to Ireland for my mother’s 60th birthday. All my mom wanted when she turned 60 was to rent a castle for a week in Ireland with her loved ones and to feel like a queen. So, that’s what we did. Yes, a castle. It was by far the most luxurious, yet life changing experience ever. Whenever I travel internationally, I always feel the most inspired fashion-wise and I feel free to get creative as possible. Having studied abroad in London for 6 months, I know from first hand experience that fashion in Europe is taken to another level – there are absolutely NO rules and I love it.
We stayed at the Crom Castle in a town called Enniskillen located in Northern Ireland. We of course did lots of touristy things, but we also enjoyed just staying at “home” for a portion of the trip. We got to do a tour of the Causeway Coastal which begins in Belfast and was one of the most beautiful sights I’ve ever seen. We also went to the Titanic Museum in Belfast, ate at the oldest pub in Donegal, signed the wall of peace in Belfast, and we even saw where the Game of Thrones was filmed. But honestly, my favorite part of the trip was living in a CASTLE for a week. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t feel like a princess for 6 nights.
After Ireland, I made a quick trip to London to visit my dad who lives there.
Happy Holidays!
XOXO,
